Kumihimo, a type of braiding that began in Japan, is now practiced by craftspeople around the world.

Some participants in the International Kumihimo Conference are shown by the city in which they live. These expert craftspeople, each specializing in a different aspect of kumihimo braiding, shared their expertise and demonstrated their craft at the conference.
